The importance of metacognition has been discussed extensively by numerous researchers. Most of the studies on metacognition generally focus on the approaches to foster metacognition or on assessing metacognition. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of metacognitive awareness and learning strategies on student success in Pre-Primary and Primary Education degree course in University of Palermo.
